Dr Kaplansky is one of my favorites! He has a very laid back demeanor that just puts you at ease. He listens to your concerns and suggests ways/meds to improve your healing process and comfort level. His assistant, Lindsay is also phenomenal! She is so professional and caring. She makes you feel very comfortable and always follows up on any additional questions or concerns you may not have thought of while seeing Dr K. Together, they make a superb team!!
Truly always up beat and positive energy from the greeting upon the first contact. I love how all medical procedures are explained. Both my wife and myself are truly happy and grateful for our care!
My second visit to Kaplansky was to get my orthotics. The orthortics are fine and the pain has almost gone away. The is some discomfort in the heal area but not bad. However I must again complain about the customer service I received. The staff at best were indifferent. The atmosphere they projected was dismal. The PA who fitted me was unsmiling, deadpan, unwelcoming. Once the orthotics were cut to fit my shoe, the shoe was VERY tight. Dr. Kaplansky did an excellent job with helping me address an ongoing, intermittent ingrown toenail. He was able to perform an outpatient procedure quickly to help remove the ingrown portion as well as chemically treat the nail bed so it won’t be a recurring issue like it has been for my life. He was very knowledgeable and courteous, and I would recommend his clinic for anyone with foot problems. The receptionist and medical assistant were both fantastic as well. Facility was clean and in good shape.
I had a follow-up appointment to have a toe nail issue checked. I paid a $55 copay before I saw the doctor. Dr. Kaplansky checked my toes and cut my toenails. Then he told me that the toenail cutting was self pay. I received a call from the office when I got home telling me that my copay does not cover toenail clipping. I owe them more money. I could have cut my own toenails and a pedicure would have been cheaper. I will be finding a new podiatrist. I am an 86 year old widow, but even so, this experience is unacceptable. All... read more
